Our healthcare partners are university and college students that come from more than 20 allied health schools and multiple health sciences. Future physicians, dentists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists and medical assistants are all given an opportunity to have clinical experience in pediatric health assessment.
KCUMB utilizes its first and second year medical students to conduct the health screenings, so that students can gain valuable clinical experience, while providing this important community service.
Typically, health science university/college students participate at local schools on screening days. Click here to see maps and directions to schools in your area. Each volunteer is assigned a position at one of the six health screening stations. An in-service training is provided prior to screening day.
